The sharp eyed amongst may have noticed that the image has changed... this is due to a close and respected friend pointing out that the imagery could be taken the wrong way i.e. as anti-semitic. In some ways I was loath to change it as although I too found it uncomfortable I think the reasons were more to do with my own "political correctness"... anyway I didn't want to cause offence to anyone unnecessarily so I have edited the image.

What I find interesting in the passage, and what I have tried to convey in the text, is that the way it is written suggests that Judas approached the Temple Guards and the Priests, not the other way round...

Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. They were delighted and agreed to give him money.
