According to the Beeb...
The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has demanded £40,000 compensation from a 17-year-old girl who admitted attacking a branch during G20 protests in London.... apparently she smashed a PC Monitor and keyboard, (putting aside that smashing anything to do with PC's could well be considered a humanitarian act in itself!) I don't want to condone violent protest, against people or property, but you might have thought that after causing such massive damage to this country they might be a little shamed faced about objecting to vandalism!
I have to say, I don't see how a PC monitor and keyboard can be worth £40,000. I jokingly did a search to see what the most expensive commercially available gcomputer I could find was, and it was a Mac Pro for around £18,000.
