The Branchflower Report on Troopergate. The report seems to say that whilst Palin had the legal right to fire Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan that her reasons for doing so where influenced by personal issues (read pressure from Family members, especially her Husband) and an abuse of her position of power. Branchflower says categorically...
I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a)... [which] providesHe also reports that..."The legislature reaffirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of the trust"
The Attorney General's office has failed to substantially comply with my August 6, 2008 written request to Governor Sarah Palin for information about the case in the form of emails. So on top of all the gaffes, inexperience and ignorance of world affairs she has now been found guilty of abuse of power, allowing others to use her position for personal gain and of refusing to assist the due legal process in holding a public official accountable! Hardly a great CV for a potential future President of the United States!
