from todays lectionary readings
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. Ephesians 1v17-end
May the eyes of your heart be opened to the nature of God: who is source, saviour and spirit,
may you know the power, strength and riches of relationship with the living God,
may you grow in wisdom, insight and understanding of the ways of the living God,
that you may be free to know more of God each day,
that you may be free to know the hope gifted to you,
that you may be free to know who you where formed to be,
that you may be free to be all that you were formed to be,
that you might give the best of everything you have, you dream of, you are,
in communion with the God-community and with the community of God's people,
in the love of the God who created, re-creates and reigns
in the deep peace of God now, tomorrow and into the future.
