Just got back... knackered... from Greenbelt! (some photo's on Flickr) I didn't get to see a whole lot... so immediate highlights were...
- Ikon 'service' as usual it really made me reflect (and seeing Jonny Baker 'protesting' outside was a 'moment'!)
- Meeting up with folk (as always) particularly Pete Rollins (and the other Ikon 'members'), Cheryl Lawrie [hold :: this space] (http://alternative.victas.uca.org.au/), The Sanctus1, Moot, Garden and Grace crowds, Some of the Young People from Mursley etc.
- Spending some time together as a burgeoning community... especially doing the installation and meditation.
- The 'New Forms Cafe' and all who sailed in her (especially the incredibly helpful Techie's - Cheers Steve!)
- The responses to both the installation and meditation... all our postcards were taken... so now I get to make some new ones :)
- The Organic Beer!
Lowlights...
- Getting up at 6.05 to prepare for our 9am 'worship slot'!
- The Main Communion Service - sorry I am completely with the anti-slavery agenda... but, I just found the whole thing washed over me... not very dynamic or inspiring I'm afraid.
- Main stage... just not yet back into the culture... plus the Music was not really that exciting - except Spearhead who were cool without being mind-blowing
- The Q's for the Kids area
- AFC Telford Utd played and won twice while we were at Greenbelt... (the victories are good news, but the fact I missed them is not!)
... more relfections anon!
