Great review of the Da Vinci Code film from Phil Johnson... I know I am going to have to see this film... but there is no way I'm going to pay for it... not because of the religious angle, but for cinematic/literary reasons! I bought the books so I think I have lined the pockets of the people involved in this tripe more than enough already!
[Update] He now has an excellent debunking of Brown's "Facts", the Theological/historical ones mainly... for me his "facts' can be summed up by a far less controversial one... Brown states "All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents and secret rituals in this novel are accurate." Ok... In the book significance is given to that the Louvre Pyramid was built from 666 panes of glass. There are, in fact, 673! One could say that if he cannot even get that well documented fact wrong little faith can be put in all the more esoteric claims he makes!
If Brown had left out the claims of "fact" then you can read it as a simple fiction... but I reiterate, even at that basic level it is twaddle!
