Economist J.K. Galbraith one of the most radical and liberal thinkers in the world of political economics has passed on... his death at 97 is not something to feel sad about, he achieved much in his long and full life being awarded the Medal of Freedom twice, by President Truman in 1946 and President Clinton in 2000. What is sad however is that at the time of his passing his thinking held little sway in the centres of Global power. If only George W had been able to read Galbraith's 1958 book 'The Affluent Society'... maybe there just wasn't enough pictures in it!
"Only the community, reflects the wellbeing, maybe even the survival, of all people."
